Allow Links in List View
-
I am converting http://www.ilovemylaser.com/gatherings.html to http://test.mynewhealingsite.com/events/ for a client.
For every event, they have a live link after each venue.
I’ve added links to each event (the “Register” ones), but the link functionality only works if “Find out more” is clicked.
Can I regain that functionality in the list view? If so, how?

Hi pranaman,
You can probably add a button like that with some customization. I’ve seen other sites using our plugins do that kind of thing.
However, as outlined in our forum guidelines, we aren’t able to help with these kinds of customizations. But we do have some handy resources that might be helpful for you:
▪ Themer’s Guide – provides an overview of how to customize the plugin’s frontend appearance.
▪ Tutorials – useful tips and tricks for changing how the plugin looks and behaves.
▪ Technical Docs – provides an overview of the classes and functions in each pluginGood luck, and thanks for using The Events Calendar!

I see the file I need to be in is /views/single-event.php
I found the reference ‘the_excerpt’, and I have a feeling something is removing the hyperlink that I’ve added to the word ‘Register’ when creating this event.
How is it doing that and how can I stop it? I think this will solve the problem.
I’m glad you found the file you need. We aren’t able to provide further support here, but perhaps someone else will have a suggestion for you.
Best,
Leah
