    Hello!

I think the firewall rules is blocking access to browserconfig.xml, located in site root.
How can I allow access to this file?

    Thanks!

If you go to Filesystem security>>File Permissions what are you file permissions for root directory set to? You may need to adjust them. Here is a very good guide on file permissions in case it is helpful: https://www.malcare.com/blog/wordpress-file-permissions/

I think the permissions are correct. When I rename the file to something else it works ok to read. I think the firewall adds rules in htaccess to stop all reading of files with the text “config” in the file name. Any ideas how to allow reading for this specific file?

@topes You should disable the 5G legacy and 6G firewall rules from Admin Dashboard > WP Security > Settings > Firewall > 6G Blacklist Firewall Rules tab and untick both firewall rules checkboxes as indicated in the screenshot https://nimb.ws/xublHm.

Ok thanks, but I do not wont to turn off the 5G and 6G rules, I just want to allow browserconfig.xml. Is there any one that could help me how to add my own rules to allow it?
