Full page purge is available to admins for security reasons. Once editors update a post, it will be automatically purged as you mentioned. By default we update archives affected by the change too. Can I see your URLs please and the ones that don’t update on page save.

Hi,
most of WP users do use advanced layout builders such as Page builder, Visual composer, Elementor, Divi, oxygen etc…
Since with these builders you can show post lists almost anywhere in your website (pages, posts, custom post types, widgets, etc…) updating WP archives is not enough.
In my client’s website I use Enfold theme with it’s Advanced Layout Builder.
In this page, for example, you can see 13 post lists each one showing latest 4 posts from 13 different post categories in a single page:
https://www.slp-cf.it/pubblicazioni/
None of them will be updated by Automatic Cache Purge.
That’s a completely different issue. We will add an option to use the current smart purge or a full purge on updates.
Any updates? Please add this feature! Leave it up to businesses and webmasters to determine if the “risk” of allowing editors to purge cache is acceptable. I have sites running Elementor and the cache for the template parts is not cleared automatically with the SG optimizer plugin. A click of the Purge SG Cache is always necessary. We have editors that need to regularly update certain Elementor templates and must be able to purge the cache so the changes are visible on the frontend. Giving all of these editors admin access is a security risk that I am wearier of than allowing them to purge the cache.
Thanks!

Totally agree with Acal!
Admin should be given the rights to decide which roles can clear the cache.
I have changed the status to not resolved, because the issue is actually not been solved.
Hey @aledef
We will consider how to implement such functionality and will post an update here.
I’m marking this ticket as resolved because this is a suggestion, not an issue.

Hello @acal,
There is a new plugin version release where you can allow other user roles to have the ability to purge the website cache.
You can find out more information how to accomplish this in the plugin readme.txt.
Best Regards,
Elena
