I’d love to do this, and if I can I will, however, lots of plugins save things as drafts before publishing and so you may inadvertently end up sending lots and lots of unintentional notifications for things outside of your control. E.g. most front-end forms save things as drafts and then move them to published immediately on saving. As such, if you have a notification for new drafts AND new published posts, your subscribers may receive more than one notification for a single post.
Does this make sense?
