I am importing from a Joomla 1.5 site.
Both Joomla and WordPress are on the same server.
All Categories and posts imported successfully.
No media imported.
Error for all media:
“Failure when receiving data from the peer”
Is there a known solution to this?
I am willing to purchase premium version if it would work.

The solution is to install WordPress on your own computer, copy the Joomla database on your computer, and run the import in local.
After that you will transfer the whole WordPress site (database and files) from your computer to the server.
