• All of the content (about four-years worth) on the site has disappeared. It shows this on our homepage now: “Could not find any featured posts. Make sure the value in Appearance >> Theme Options >> Front Page >> Featured Tag matches the slug for that tag in Posts >> Tags (must use the slug if it is different than the name of the tag). Also make sure you have assigned this tag to your posts, and that your posts have been given featured images.” When we go to the dashboard, none of our thousands of posts show up anymore. The only thing that shows up still on the dashboard are the comments we’ve received throughout the years. It is as if our site has been deleted. The only things that remain on the site are ads and the social media links. The site is Statsstylescore.com. Please help!! We worked extremely hard to make this site into something and now all of our work has disappeared!

  • Hi mj,

Did you do anything right before the posts disappeared, for example switching themes?

Do you have access to the WordPress database? If you do, in the table wp_posts are there any rows?

Is the site backed up? Depending on who your site is hosted with, your host might have an automated back up of the site from 1-2 days ago if the posts were deleted.

    Barry,

Unfortunately, I am not sure who was the last writer to access the site, so I’m unable to narrow what happened right before the posts disappeared. We have about ten journalists on the site.

WordPress database? How would I see this?

We have the site through GoDaddy. We are attempting to reach out to them, but we had to give up earlier after being placed on hold too long. We will try again tomorrow.

    Thank you for responding.
