• Resolved TallysTreasury

Starting about a week ago, when I wrote a blog post and saved it, half my formatting would be lost, specifically the spacing. You can see an example here: http://nheilke.com/blog/?p=3955

The first bit of the post is fine, with spaces between paragraphs and so on, but scroll down a bit and all the paragraphs are jammed together. The blog post I’m currently trying to write is even worse. No matter how many spaces I put between lines, WordPress will not register them. I have no idea why this should be or how to fix it, and it’s driving me nuts. Please help!

I read somewhere that widgets can screw things up, so I deleted the Twitter widget I’d uploaded a couple weeks ago, but that didn’t seem to make a difference. I’d be very grateful to anyone who can help.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks for the advice. I deactivated all plugins as you suggested. It didn’t seem to do anything at first, but a day or so later everything was working properly again, so this must have done it. Even Anylitics 360 is working again, which is bizarre, since that plugin is currently deactivated… but it’s working, so I’ll just be unquestioningly pleased about that.

    Many thanks for your help!
