• After succesfully installing WP i have been using it for a while without problems – or so i thought.

It seems that comments posted by “admin” users are approved by the system. Comments from all other users immediately end up as spam…

They are only visible when viewing the comments table using phpMyAdmin.

    Setup:
    – WordPress version 2.0.4
    – No antispam plugins
    – Angsuman’s Authenticated WordPress Plugin version 1.0

    Any ideas why this happens?

  • Double-check all settings under Options > Discussion, but mainly make sure no nefarious values have slipped into the Comment Blacklist textbox. I ran into a similar problem last year and traced it to a (damn!) space in that field.

It seems that it might be a browser specific problem.

When i use IE7 nothing happens (I actually also have some problems with text disappearing here on wordpress.org when i “mouseover” on menu items).

Firefox 2 – it seems that there are no problems.

    Other users with this experience?
