I recently have been getting notified that anyone trying to comment is getting this error

    “Access Denied
This site is protected by the Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin.
If you feel that you have been blocked in error, you may notify the Admin and ask to placed on the system white list. This site’s admin will be notified and can review the reason why you were blocked. Please ask nicely to be admitted here.”
And then there’s a text box, but I can’t see the ‘submit’ button so there’s no way to send the request.”

Below are some of the rejections and why:

    Cached bad ip

I disabled some settings, unsure if what I did would be successful.

The http-referer is a meta tag that the browser uses to identify where the user came from. To log in it MUST be from the login form. To leave a comment, it MUST be from a blog page with a comments form. If it is missing the plugin denies access. Some users try to hide this meta tag thinking this is a kind of privacy and use a plugin or a browser that makes them anonymous. You can disable the http-referer check, but it opens up your site to people who may have a nefarious reason to remain anonymous. Better ask the user to give up his anonymity or else be labeled a malicious user.

The cached IP is because the user previously was rejected. You can clear the cache of bad IP addresses in the stop spammer history settings page.
