    The difference is because the underlying bootstrap scaffolding is changing the layout as you reduce the size.

    I think it would be very hard to implement what you want to do, given the complexity of what’s already been defined in Bootstrap.

    If you want to do it, I would suggest that you study the Bootstrap grid carefully and implement the div with a “row-fluid” class and then define your box as a span10 div.

    I have a good understanding of css3, html etc and understand the bootstrap. as my div is a percentage, is does work on wider screen down to mobile phone size, just for some reason not Square monitors!

    im testing it in various screen sizes, I think ive cracked it! I just like box view web pages, so you can have a constant background.
