aligning logo and menu widget

I have now tried for a long time to aling my logo and navigation menu widget on the same line in my header, but i can’t seem to get it working.

As you can see the top menu is above the logo. I want the navigation bar and logo to align on the same horizontal line, so the header gets as small as possible.

are there any who can guide me to a fix?
