• First off, thanks for creating such a great plug in. I’ve been using it for a while and it’s awesome. Haven’t really had any issues until now.

Since updating to CF7 3.7.2 the alerts on my form are no longer going away. Before the alerts would go away either on hover or on click, but now they don’t go away at all unless you refresh the window. Which is really a problem for usability because even if the user tries to fill out the field they can’t see what they’re writing.

You can see what’s going on here: http://www.juroto.com/connect/

(Try clicking send without filling in the fields and you should see the alerts pop up.)

My site is up to date, running WordPress 3.8.1, so I’m not quite sure what’s wrong since it was working before updating CF7 to 3.7.2. I’ll keep at it and update if I find a solution. Thanks for any help in advance.

  • This is now normal behaviour in Contact Form 7. Floating validation tip has been removed for accessibility improvement. See the changelog of v3.6.

Thanks for the reply and the info buzztone!

After a while of messing with it and thinking about it I figured that was the case. Makes sense making the alerts static for accessibility purposes. Just gotta rethink my approach now. Not quite sure if I wanna keep the default static alerts and adjust my design or change it back to the floating tip like I had it. Decisions, decisions…
