This is with wordpress version 5.5.1 and NextGEN Gallery version 3.3.17
Hello @simen123456,
We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this particular issue.
Whenever we find this particular path is that the image generation process was not completed.
1.- If possible, check if your site meets our requirements: https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/
2.- Take into consideration these suggestions on Image Sizes and Resolutions https://www.imagely.com/docs/image-sizes-and-resolutions/
3.- Are the thumbnails missing from all the galleries? Try to upload one testing gallery and check again after going through step one and two.
Please, keep us posted; we are happy to help!
Hi, thanks for you reply!
I’ve tried adding new galleries a lot so I don’t think it’s going to fix things, but I see in the requirements you state that the following is needed:
– The mod_rewrite Apache module
My wordpress installation is running in an Nginx web server, is it possible it may be causing the issue?
And to answer your question, yes all galleries have the same problem, however I am able to see thumbnails everywhere else when I configure the galleries and albums etc.
Hello @simen123456,
Nginx doesn’t use mod_rewrite.
What you can do is reach out to your hosting provider and check what solution they can apply. I found this particular link that might be useful: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/enabling-nginx-mod_rewrite
On the other hand, please, after adjusting your server options, or check-in if everything is in place, create a new gallery from scratch, take into consideration uploading images no larger than 1920×1280 pixels for that test https://www.imagely.com/docs/image-sizes-and-resolutions/
Check if the thumbnails are ok if you are able to open the direct link to that file.
As I already explained, this particular issue is visible whenever the upload process couldn’t complete some steps performed by the plugin: cropping, resizing, etc.
