@quiztoon If that gallery has many pictures and in the Manage gallery it occupies two or more pages (e.g., 30 x page), you have to select the album thumbnail from the page where the image is.

I dont quite understand what you mean.
I have about 500 different galleries broken down into several albums.
I know how to select the image in the gallery. The album is only allowing me to see 30 images from one gallery even though there are, in this instance, 12 different galleries in that particular album..
I have not created pages for any of the albums, they are selected in the manage albums section.
What if i wanted to use an album cover which was created by me and an actual photograph.
For example my albums are split up in t dates. so in 2011 there are 12 albums one for each month and then in each month i have dragged the relevant galleries across into that album, the same for 2012, 2013 and now 2014.
http://www.limelighthire.com/photo-booth-galleries/ this is the only created page which has the album called years in the page. The rest are inside that album and so on.

@quiztoon – Although not all images may be appearing in the drop-down selector for your specific album, you should still be able to type in the image (file) name (or part of its description) to narrow you choices and then select the image you want to use as you preview.
