Album not displayed

    Hello,
    I installed WP 4.6.1. Then I created galeries and albums with Nextgen. When it comes to viewing the page linked to a gallery it only works if I leave the shortcode (eg [nggallery id=”3″] ) because when I tried to replace it by ‘place order image’ it triggered an error message.
    The problem is even worse with album since I don’t have the shortcode (I tried without success [ngalbum id=”1″] ) and no mean to by-pass.
    As a result I can’t make out how to display the albums. That’s actually blocking point.

    @stephanephoto – Are you referring to the Insert Gallery Window (IGW) / Add Gallery button features not working on your site, which in turn leaves you to using shortcodes; or, are you referring to some other operation?

    It’s a little more tricky. I’m referring to the step after adding the page linked to the gallery. At this stage the shortcode is replaced by the image of the gallery. And that doesn’t work any more for displaying. Except when I delete the image and type back the shortcode. But for the Album I’m affadi there’s no option with shortcode, is there ?
    or another solution maybe i’m doing something wrong.

    @stephanephoto – Have you looked at our shortcodes page here: https://imagely.com/docs/nextgen-gallery-shortcodes/ … you are currently using NextGEN Legacy style shortcodes whereas the current NextGEN Gallery shortcodes do offer many more parameters.

    Thanks ! You did understood and resolve my problem. I can now deal that way to display the albums. Though it’s not as simple as choosing the options with the ‘setting box’ supposed to be useful for that purpose, isnt’it ?

    @stephanephoto – Thanks for the update; and, yes, there are some options/parameters better suited for use in a shortcode than within the IGW.
