akismet for org users

    I see that akismet is useable for wp.com users because you need de API code for it.But if you install wp on your own server where Is the API code.
    Or what have you to do?

    First, you have to have Akismet installed and activated in the WP Admin > Plugins section. To get an API key, you just need to sign up for a WordPress.com account. You will be prompted for the key when you activate the plugin, and you can update the API key later from WP Admin > Plugins > Akismet Configuration.
