    Hi,

    New to all of this – learning a little very fast!

    I have a very basic WP site which has no blog and no ability for users to comment etc. Do I need to have Akismet as a plugin? I’m being told that Akismet is almost ready to run but I need to enter an API key. However as I understand it, the purpose of Akismet is to protect me from spamming through blogs – since I don’t run these functions I don’t see why I need to do this?!

    Also going to install Google Analytics to the site later today… any tips or pointers?

    If you ain’t going to allow anyone to comment, Akismet isn’t needed and isn’t worth having on there.

    Just put the Google Analytic code before </html> and you are all good with it 😛
