Again: Position of Footnotes
-
I would like to bring this back to our attention.

“It would be good if you could choose a location for the footnotes either by specific location e.g ‘after comments form’, ‘before comments form’ OR by css id of section where they should appear. Currently they just show at the end of the post which can make things difficult with page builders like elementor.“
Patrick replied four days late;:
“This is definitely something that I’ll consider adding. What do you think about using a shortcode also as an option of displaying the list of footnotes?“
I really think such a feature would this great plugin a lot. A shortcode that I can use in any text module (I use Divi that uses “modules”for texts – name the text thing whatever you like for your builder or theme) an control the width in a flexible way.
I know that I can use css to set a width for the footnotes, but it will affect all footnotes’ width over the whole website – whereas column widths can vary for different articles.
Does that make sense to you?
Cheers, Frank (who is a big fan of Footnotes Made Easy and writes rather no article without)
