• Hello!

I love the Hiero theme and usually don’t have many questions, but have been having issues with affiliate links posting correctly. I’ve been trying to include banner affiliate link images to my blog posts but they show up with the picture icon that looks torn and then just the name of the affiliate link to the side of it. I try pasting the entire link within the text editing tab and then view it within the visual editor and that’s what is coming up. I have attached an image.

I contacted my affiliate link support and they said there isn’t anything wrong with the code when they checked and that it would be the website. I also have errors sometimes where they affiliate link images will work for a while and then they somehow become a broken link. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you,

    Anson

  • Hello there,

I visited the link you shared, but didn’t get where the error links appear. Could you please take a screenshot and point me where it is exactly located? Use file sharing service like cloudup.com to upload your image and copy/paste its link in your reply comment.

    Hey Kharis,

Thanks for the prompt reply! It seems like the banner images are working now. Sometimes it seems like they go on and off with displaying correctly, so I don’t know if it’s because the affiliate links get updated and changes the code. If it comes up again I will definitely ask for help. I wasn’t;t able to sign up for the cloudup.com link either?

One other question, would you be able to look at my blog and see if there’s anything you would recommend to make my blog load faster and be more mobile friendly? I love this theme and would just like to make it as efficient as possible from the mobile view.

    Thanks,

    Anson

    Hello Anson,

Probably the issue was with affiliate script. Try to seek some informations from affiliate provider.

Your site looks good already on smaller screen size. https://cloudup.com/c8hYDHVYTws

To improve site’s performance, you could do caching or minifying scripts with a plugin like W3 Total Cache. For more complete guide, read this documentation.
