Advice on WooCommerce Setup – Products
-
Hi, first time poster here. I’m not expecting expert level advice (for free) but if you have it I’d be very appreciative. May be able to pay small fee for expert advice. Thank you.
I am building a new WooCommerce based site for a new client and need to perform some miracles in the process. Client has existing .NET/aspx site with MSSQL database.
Have successfully exported full database from MSSQL and have a MySQL dump file so I have access to Product, Sub Products, etc.
Here is my ‘needs’ list and even if someone could recommend Woo Plugins/Extension along the way that would be awesome.
1. Customers must create an account prior to ordering.
2. Customer accounts must be of one type; personal, govt, specialist
3. Depending on customer account type determines product pricing shown/available.
There are in fact 6 different Price breaks per Product.4. Products do have Categories/Groups.
5. Product do have multiple Pricing. (See 3).
6. A Product may have SubProducts, not so much variations (i.e. red/blue/green) but more Product ‘ABC’ may have SubProducts ‘ABC’ and ‘DEF’.
7. Products do have Related Products (which is good).
Just to reiterate, even if someone could suggest or recommend correct plugins or extensions to use to obtain the above results I would be most grateful.
For bonus points if some kind soul could have a look or offer advice on how I should best manipulate/merge the Product csv (20 product) and SubProduct csv (200+ products) for some kind of easier import to WooCommerce?
Thank you kindly in advance for even taking the time to read through my request for advice.
Regards,
Ed.
