We need to base advertiser rates on location, so an advertiser would need to input a postcode to view their rate. Is this possible?

  • Hi designworksuk

    Thanks for reaching out.

Geo-targeting is possible with an additional add-on. You cannot specify postcodes there, but you can insert specific cities, countries or continents. See the entire documentation of this feature here, please.

If you have any further questions about the geo-targeting, I want kindly ask you to contact us in our support channel, since the forums on wordpress.org are made for free plugins and not for pro extensions.

    Best regards,

    Hi @designworksuk,

I just looked at this thread again and found that my answer was misleading and not related to your question.

To solve your problem, you do not need the Geotargeting-Add-on. Your use case requests the Selling Ads add-on.

But a flexible pricing structure depending on the location of the customers is not easy to achieve without any additional tools. I would try to extend the functions of WooCommerce with a WooCommerce zip code based pricing plugin.

From a technical point of view, this should work. But the biggest challenge will be to integrate the postcode query in a meaningful way.

I hope that this reply is more helpful.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
