Hello, please, is there any chance to have an advanced gallery like wordpress.com has?

Or you suggest to deploy some Lightbox (or such) by myself?

Or there is already some simple plugin available? I am aware of (and have briefly tested) NextGEN, but that is inconvenient for having the pictures separately from the standard Image/Media WP capabilities 🙁

Are you using JetPack? It has some of the .COM gallery functionality – http://jetpack.me/

Thanks for the quick reply. JetPack is connected to the .COM WP – I do not like it.

There is some enlightened JetPack (“slim”)… but still it seems too comprehensive – adding too much, too robust.

But I’ve foud some other plugins to test, e.g. this one:
