    Hello Payment Plugins Support,

I am experiencing a persistent issue with Advanced Card Processing in the Sandbox environment.

    Environment

    • Plugin: Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce 2.0.28
    • Checkout type: WooCommerce Classic Checkout
    • Environment: PayPal Sandbox
    • Advanced Card Processing: Enabled
    • Test cards: Official PayPal Sandbox test cards

    Issue

PayPal wallet payments complete successfully, but embedded credit card payments consistently fail at:

    POST /v2/checkout/orders/{ORDER_ID}/confirm-payment-source

The response is HTTP 422 with the following generic error:

    UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY

    PayPal Debug ID: f112469b44236

    Timestamp: October 25, 2026, 02:47:38 GMT

The response contains no specific validation field or actionable error description.

Could you please investigate whether this issue is related to plugin version 2.0.28, the Classic Checkout integration, or the card-fields configuration? Please also advise which additional logs or request details would help identify the root cause.

I can provide the WooCommerce system report and sanitized plugin logs if needed.

    Thank you.

    Hi @elethanlin

Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins. This is not an issue with the plugin and is likely environment related or account specific. I just performed a test using the test card 371449635398431 and it worked as expected.

Are you able to share a product page url to the site you’re testing on so this 422 error can be observed?

    Kind Regards

I’ve already enabled Sandbox Mode, and my account supports Advanced Card Processing.

    Thank you for your help!

    Additional Information:

I enabled the payment plugin’s debug log, but the error does not appear in the logs. There is no log entry related to the 422 error.

My website supported Advanced Credit Card Payments a few weeks ago, but the error suddenly started occurring today. I recently upgraded PHP to 8.3, so I’m wondering if this could be related.
