    Hello,

I have two websites, A and B. Recently, I updated the plugin on Website A to version 3.4.0. After the update, I noticed that the Advanced Card Processing option under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments has disappeared and has been replaced by the Standard Card Button option.

On Website B, the plugin has not been updated and is still on version 3.3.1. Everything is working normally there — the Advanced Card Processing option is available, and customers can enter their credit card information directly on the checkout page without being redirected to PayPal’s credit card payment page.

Both websites are using the same PayPal account, so the issue is not related to the Advanced Checkout feature being disabled.

I would like to ask whether this change was caused by the plugin update. How can I restore Advanced Card Processing on Website A so that it works the same way as it did in the previous plugin version?

    Thank you!

    Hello @louqi

First, just to confirm, both Website A and Website B are connected to the exact same PayPal account?

On the Website A, please go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → PayPal → Settings, click Disconnect, and when prompted, tick Start over. Then complete the onboarding process again. In many cases, this restores Advanced Card Processing if the capability is active on the PayPal account.

Additionally, please share a system status report from Website A so we can review the environment. You can do this by navigating to WooCommerce → Status, clicking Get system report, then Copy for support. Paste the report into http://privatebin.syde.com and share the generated link here.

We are waiting for your system report to proceed with the analysis.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @inpsydekrystian

Yes, both Website A and Website B are connected to the same PayPal account.

I have tried disconnecting PayPal and reconnecting it, but the issue still persists. Advanced Card Processing is still not available, including the on-site credit card checkout (without redirection), as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Below is the status report for Website A:

Additionally, may I ask if there is a way to downgrade the plugin to a previous version?

I look forward to your review and reply. Thank you very much.

    Hello @louqi

The system report partially confirms the problem, but not in a consistent way.

    Shop country code: US
Advanced Card Processing available in country: –

In short, this means the plugin currently detects the shop as not eligible for Advanced Card Processing. However, your shop country is set to the US, which is an eligible country. That combination does not make sense and should not normally happen.

At this point, please reach out to us directly through our support form so we can escalate this properly and inspect the account connection and eligibility flags in more detail. Here is how you can request support https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/

Please include the URL of this thread in your ticket so we have the full context.

Regarding downgrading the plugin, while technically possible by installing a previous release manually, I do not recommend doing that at this stage. The issue appears to be related to eligibility detection rather than a simple regression, and downgrading may not resolve it.

All previous plugin versions are available here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases

You can download any earlier release directly from that page if you need to test a specific version.

    Kind Regards,
    Krystian

@inpsydekrystian Thank you. I downgraded the plugin to version 3.3.2, and the issue has been resolved.
