    Hello guys,

I have some pages that talk about gambling and so I used the Advanced Ads plugin to remove the Adsense ads from these pages.

But I got a notification of policy violation where they show me a page they say contain Adsense ad. However, the page does not appear any ad, as I hid with the plugin. I request review and it continues to point to me as a violation.

I think that when I request revision, it is not a human who will check and rather a robot. And robots are not looking at the page graph to see that no Adsense ads appear, but rather they look at the source code. And as the source code is being quoted Adsense words and even my UA (https://screenshot.net/pt/ljy1vik), then to the robot my page consists of Adsense ads.

I contacted the Adsense staff to find out if this is the case.

But I’ve gone before to see you, if you can remove the entire ad code when I choose not to show the ad on a page.

As it currently stands, the plugin only hides the ad from being viewed on the page, but the ad code remains on the page, and it continues to participate in the page load, contributing to loading time. In the case of Adsense using scripts, the page is loading those scripts, even though the ad does not appear graphically on the page.

So I was wondering if you can also remove the ad code from the source code of the page and not just hide from the visual page?

    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

    Hi Rodrigo,

thanks for reaching out with your question.

As long as the ad code is not executed, there shouldn’t be an issue. I don’t want to speculate about the AdSense reviews since they are not in my hands and would instead like to ask my contacts at Google.

Could you please reach out to our email support and provide me with more information about your site?

    Thanks
    Thomas

This is worrying to hear this. Any update on this? If Google doesn’t see the ads as being hidden/not displayed, then this could cause trouble for a lot of users who want to prevent ads displaying on certain pages.

Just had to look back and read up on what Rodrigo and I discussed. Everything was fine when I looked at his page and source code and he confirmed it and applied for another review with AdSense. Maybe it was a cached, older version of the site which they looked at.

That’s good to hear! So can you confirm that if an ad is hidden on a page (set to not display) then the adsense code will not be present in the source code of that page? Thanks

Oh, yes. Advanced Ads doesn’t hide ads with CSS, ever. Our Ad Health menu includes a check for that in case it is done by another plugin or theme.

It is also not what happened here. The mentioning of “AdSense” in the source code was referring to features like our Ad Health checks and are only enabled for logged-in admins. No AdSense code was executed.

I have not received any more Adsense notifications for now.

As for the source code, I get the word “Adsense”, but it looks like the codes are in Analytics because the ID that appears is my Google Analytics ID.

    @rodrigo

Did you find out what was the cause of you receiving the adsense notification on the pages where adsense was set not to display? You said you requested a review several times, i was just wondering how you solved this? Was it a cached page issue as Thomas said?

The reason I do not know. I asked for some reviews, so when I asked again, Adsense did not report me any more. However, I did not change anything on the page, it was always with hidden ad.

I got in touch with Adsense support, but no one knew how to tell me too.
