Administrator and Subscriber difference in layout?

Both of those look broken to me, unless you’re somehow able to create a doc without title or content. After creating a doc, you should be shown the main doc view screen, which looks something like this:

The first thing I’d do is figure out if your theme is the problem (switch to twenty seventeen or something common briefly to test). Also look in your error logs to see if anything is being recorded. Read about WP logging: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
