ADMIN – restricting post directory by role?

We’ve been able to set up a custom role of “scholar” and allowed them to edit each others’ posts.

Now we’re interested in limiting their post directory from wp-admin so once logged in the scholar only sees posts of those in the role of “scholar” – not ALL the others’ posts. Can anyone help with a direction to look?
