Admin Question

Good Morning,
I just started doing some research about wordpress and I had a couple questions I could not find on the website. First off I am thinking about using wordpress for a internal intranet would it work? 2nd are you able to setup admin users that can only edit certain parts of the website? Any other information on not using wordpress as a blogging website would be great.
