Hi @renathy
Smart Slider 3 loads the thumbnail images which are set for each slide to the slide list ( http://imgur.com/mM2ObYi ) so if large images are loading there, that means that the large background images are used as thumbnails, so you should change them at each slide using the green image button (marked with black color): http://imgur.com/S8k1as9
and that way the loading will be faster as the images will be smaller.
Unfourtunately it is too complicated for my client – he wants to upload / add image only once and do not upload thumbnails seperately.
Everything works well on front end, however, on admin panel images (thumbnails without thumbnail image loaded) are loading very slow.
We made some changes, it would be great if you would check them out! To do so, please download the version from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/js03d1gi70rxwcy/nextend-smart-slider3-wordpress.zip?dl=0
remove the one you have installed, and install it like this: http://doc.smartslider3.com/article/55-wordpress-installation
Then go to the Slider settings -> Optimize tab, turn on the Optimize option. Now if you refresh the page, the slide thumbnails will be optimized and the loading should be much faster.
If you could provide some feedback on this, that would be great!
