Have you edited/ modified WordPress core files? There is nothing in your WordPress install that shows the version of WordPress you are running.

I have not touched core files. I can see at the bottom of my admin panel version as 3.6. Thanks for your quick reply.. If you find any solution please do reply.

Try these steps:
– deactivate all plugins and see if the problem persists. If it solves the problem, activate plugins one by one until you find the problematic one
– revert to Twenty Twelve theme and see if the issue is theme-specific
– delete any inactive plugins
– reinstall WordPress manually from a freshly downloaded copy except wp-content. Do not overwrite files/ folders but delete them before reinstalling.
– run the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
Use FTP or your hosting control panel if you cannot access dashboard.
Backup your site first, including database, so that you can restore in case anything goes wrong.

Also having problems with widgets. At first the upgrades this week changed the settings so I had to go into layout settings to put them back to what I wanted.
This latest upgrade (WP & customizr on same day) the layout was find but the column was missing and when I went into the widgets area, the three widgets had completely disappeared!
Also seeing issues on widgets. Any attempts to modify simply revert the stuff back to defaults.
It’s as though some permissions are messed up on the widgets code that got updated.
Also no custom editing done to the wordpress core.
