Admin order edit billing/shipping field layout

After the massive WP, Woo, and dozen of plugin updates over the last 2-3 days, the display of billing and shipping fields while editing is now “broken”.

I’ve tried various plugin disables (most especially Flexible Checkout Fields, which would be the most likely suspect) and all the other standard stuff, but suspect the issue is actually inside of Woo itself.

The editable fields now seem to have form-left and form-right styles added to them, and I do not think that was true before, and whatever is doing it seems to just be toggling left/right and is “out of sync” – not to mention hurting some fields that should be full width.

I have tried to figure out where the bad CSS references are coming from, but not having any luck. I hooked ‘woocommerce_admin_billing_fields’ to get a dump of the field definitions, and there’s no values in there that are doing this.

I am happy to throw in any action/filter calls on my test system to try to narow down the issues – it only takes a minute – but I’m not finding anything relevant other than the one mentioned above.

Looking for “did anybody change the behavior” and/or “how can I gather more info.

Hi there,

Can you share a screenshot or direct URL of what those fields look like? It sounds like these are coming from custom/conflicting CSS although we can’t say for sure just yet.

Also, can you share a copy of your status report as found under **WooCommerce > Status**?

Three images. Live customer data is obsfuscated out.

1: Before edit – to show an anomaly from Stripe that is not relevant (see image 3), but may be helpful.

2. Edit mode – note the Stripe info is “misplaced” — but again, it is a victim of the problem, not the cause.

3. Edit mode again – with Stripe deactivated, and the problem remains.

Please note my OP talking about form-right and form-left CSS style references.
I’m going to try to get more details about the stylesheets in use.

I’ve grabbed a pile of stylesheet references – not listed ’cause you know how many there are, but I’ve got it for a deeper dig.

BUT — I’m pretty sure the class references were different before the updates.
I’ve done browser console removes of the “form-left” and “form-right” and it’s improved things – but still don’t have the wide fields (eg. street address) I should see.

FOUND IT (kind of). Deactivated “Flexible Checkout Fields” from WP Desk and the offending form-left and form-right class references disappeared.
Therefore, I’ve opened a topic with them – and to avoid duplicating my work here, I’ll refer them to it. Same topic – over in the FCF support forum

But any further info you can provide (such as “Did form-left or form-right get changed recently?”) would be helpful.
