    Is it a Multisite installation? Often, Admins do not necessarily have the roles as Super Admins. They will have to double-check your Role credentials for a Multisite.

    Sometimes, plugins are installed to facilitate Roles. If you can access FTP I would look to see if there are any Role management plugins installed. You may also look into the mu-plugins folder if it exists.

    If you have access to the database, I would confirm to see if you are indeed an Admin.

    Other than that, someone will have to re-issue new credentials or a database query will need to be performed on your username/email address.
