I would love to find out more what is adding the complication for you. With feedback the experience can be iterated.

The problem is I’m already familiar with using WordPress the way that I have become accustomed to using it. With Gutenberg I suddenly have a new interface where I have to stop and think about what to do. I’m not reluctant to change: I’m just reluctant to change that doesn’t seem to improve what I already do. For now I get around the learning curve by installing Classic Editor plugin. When I have more time maybe I’ll take a deeper look at Gutenberg.
