• I use the “Additional URL Parameters” so I can track what Facebook page is sending me the most hits etc. I use the following in the field.

    utm_source=%NTNAME%&utm_medium=%ACCNAME%

    When this get posted to Facebook though, the ampersand seems to get converted to something different. See the links below. Is the link being URL encoded correctly?

    BAD LINK: https://www.zerotackle.com/eels-sign-tony-williams-ahead-2018-season-30337/?utm_source=Facebook&amp%3Butm_medium=NRL+Gossip

    SHOULD BE: https://www.zerotackle.com/eels-sign-tony-williams-ahead-2018-season-30337/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=NRL+Gossip

    [ Please do not bump. ]

    Quick fix for this until the new release, just use a shortened URL when sharing. That doesn’t seem to have the same issue.

    Hi, thanks, but seems than it won’t index by search engines, will it?
    I mean that if you have more links from FB – that’s better.

    If you’ve got your canonical URLs setup correctly, FB will show it as a link from your website despite using the bit.ly (or other) short link.

    Hoping it gets fixed soon either way.

    Nice hack, thanks!
