• I have installed the plugin, however when I go to Themes/Customize I can only see the additional options provided by the plugin for about 3 to 4 seconds, before the options list reverts to the original list of TwentySeventeen options.

We have a very basic child theme, could this be interfering?

    That is indeed peculiar.

    Did this just start happening?

Has it ever worked with your child theme or is this the first time you have used the plug-in with your child theme?

Do the options appear when the parent theme is activated?

What is the exact folder name of your child theme please?

    Thank you.

    Hi Oliver,

    1. It began as soon as I installed the plugin i.e. first time and ever since.

    2. If I select a live preview of the parent Twenty Seventeen theme, the additional options provided by the plugin remain visible on the preview screen.

    3. The child theme is located in the /wp-content/themes folder i.e within the same parent folder as twentyseventeen.

    Thanks Frank.

Can you please let me know what the directory name of the child theme is within the “themes” directory?

    Thank you,

    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,

For various confidentiality reasons, unusual or not, I cannot provide the exact name as it reveals the domain.

    However the name format is:

    websm_XXXXXXX1802

The X’s replace a domain name eg amazomcom

Could the plugin perhaps be changed to allow selection of a child themes folder, assuming this is the issue?

    Best,

    Hi Frank,

If it’s the anomaly I think it is then it resides in core.

Can you please try removing the underscore?

If that doesn’t work then to diagnose the issue further I’ll need a zip file of the child theme to inspect.

Just updating this thread. We think we’ve discovered the cause of the issue described and have pushed an update to resolve.

    Please confirm.

    Many thanks,

    Oliver
