Hi Everyone!

I have been trying to add a video to my WordPress sidebar without much success. I would like to be able to do it with a self-hosted video if that is possible. I have tried using FlowPlayer, and JW player with I don’t want to have to rely on YouTube, Vimeo, or any other video hosting companies. I am only planning on having two videos so bandwidth shouldn’t be a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hm, sorry about that. It posted before I was done. Anyway, basically, I would like to put a self-hosted video in my WordPress sidebar. Thanks!

Have you checked out http://camendesign.com/code/video_for_everybody ?
Using that approach you could simply write your own html code for HTML5 video playback (with fallback) in a Text widget and add that to your sidebar. You would need to manually manage where the video files reside on the server though.
