• I have a themeforest theme – I need some assiastance adding videos to portfolio posts . so please don’t assume your plugin will work with if you haven’t tried it before you post . I’ve tried almost every single video plugin with no success to play a video . I simply want my theme to work just it is in the demo on themeforest website , here is the link http://themeforest.net/item/purevision-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/156538 . if you go portfolio menu, go down to Video portfolio . I simply want my site to look like that .
    I’ve tried Video featured plugin, and i’ve tried Viper’s Video Quicktags and jw player , none worked . lastly i’ve tried embeded youtube plugins and worked except that it opens a new page instead of just like the demo . Will someone please tell me how to add videos to posts , by the way my page is using 4 Column portfolio layout .I don’t have to use all these plugs , the demo clearly states it will work with the need of those plugins

    Anyone out there please – any help is greatky appreciate it . Thanks in advance

    If you were able use the youtube embeds you can go back to that.

    What this theme/example is doing is loading the video in what is called a thickbox, or lightbox. There are tons of plugins for this, or you can even add it manually by getting the files (just google thickbox and it’s first link).

    What you do is add a special class to your video and it will then open in the thickbox/lightbox.

    There may be a mention in the theme read me file as to what plugin they could be using. You can use thickbox’s with images, video, frames, and even .pdf’s to an extent.

    Perhaps find one of these plugins or add it manually to your theme, then in your page, create 4 columns and embed your youtube videos.

    Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/thickbox/installation/
    Documentation: http://www.christianschenk.org/projects/wordpress-thickbox-plugin/#howto

    class=”thickbox”

    If your theme says it will work, all the code must be in it already, and you need to add the class to the youtube video’s embed code. Find the class… possible “thickbox”
