Adding text to header

I am currently using Make on my blog. My main website is not done on WordPress yet, but I plan to switch over to WP and use Make on that as well. I cannot figure out how to make the top of my WordPress site look the same as the main site. On my main website I have text just above the image in the header as well as a search bar on the top right above the header. I can’t seem to do that on my blog site. I am using the free Make version, don’t know if buying Make Plus would solve the problem but would like to know.
