    Hi, i wanted to add some text on the main page where the slider and recent blogposts are , just below the blogposts i would like to add some text and a picture, but not in a widget. How can this be achived ?

    You need to Edit the home.php file. Add your Text in the desired region. It will show up.

    You will have to hit and try a few times to get it show at the exact location you want.
