Adding options to ‘select basic’ depending on other element

I have a form with 2 ‘select basic’ dropdowns, and I’m trying to show a set of options in the second dropown depending on the option select in the first dropdown.

How can you add the options to a ‘select basic’ dropdown element dynamically, depending on the option selected in the previous element?
