• Good Morning,

I work with websites who use wordpress to post job postings to their blogs.

I am trying to find out how to add the word “NEW” next to all of my newest posting titles and also have it be a smaller font or maybe even in a different color, so every time I post that will show up next to the Post Title.

So every time we have a returning visitor they can see which job posts are new, I have seen this one on different job sites however I can not quite seem how to do it.

I would also like the word “NEW” to disappear after a couple days or after the visitor reads the posting, if possible.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank You

  • Cookies – probably the easiest way.

You need to make a cookie to hold all the un/read data for the posts, and also have the “new” dynamic (not actually a part of the post title).

Well, that’s how I’d do it.

I guess my biggest issue is I’m not sure how to do any of what needs to be done to get the effect I am looking for.

I am terrible with code, just good with design, which is why I was looking for the help.

    Thanks for the tips though.
