Adding New Themes Trouble

    I am trying to upload new themes to themommydocuments.com. I have uploaded several (blueliner, cleaker, positive feeling, sodelicious black) and I cannot get them to show up under Design -> Themes. I am using Filezilla as the FTP.

    So I downloaded, say, blueliner. Extracted the files to another folder. Got into Filezilla and created a new directory under wp content -> themes, renaming it blueliner. And transferred the extracted files to that new directory.

    Even when I go to http://themommydocuments.com/wp-content/themes/ only the two default themes are showing.

    Are all of the files under the download supposed to be uploaded to wp-content/themes? Like a document that says ‘Read Me’? Or maybe I missed a step somewhere? I am not familiar with uploading the zipped file through filezilla, then unzipping it afterward, but I am willing to try…

    I see just the two folders. So you loaded those right. I use a different FTP client and I just move the entire folder, say “notebook” and all its contents to the folder ‘themes’. It has to be uncompressed. You should leave everything there, the read me, and dozen or so other files, and img or image folders.

    hmmm…So I tried to move the folder directly into the wp-themes folder. Still didn’t work….

    Anyone else? I’m willing to try anything!

    alright, I’ve figured this out. I was uploading into

    /wordpress/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/

    when I should have been uploading into

    /public_html/wp-content/themes/

    they are coming up in my design – themes page as well as on the blog.
