• I have installed WordPress 3.0 via Microsoft Web Platform Installer (Web PI) on a Vista 64 bit OS laptop.

    And have upgraded to 3.01

    Everything works fine, except images, I cannot add images to any Posts or Pages, by any means, except by using a full image URL.

    I tried to add or upload image using ‘Add media files from your computer’ and receive a message:
    ‘Missing a temporary folder.’

    Adding images to any slide show application delivers the same message.

    Any suggestions as a solution. Thank you.

    Yes, I have tired almost all the suggestions from that series of forum topics, and any other thread related to my situation, however no solutions.

    It must be a PHP issue in regards to the php.ini file
    I did a test to see what temp folder for uploads being used
    and it C:\Windows\Temp, so I placed in the following line in php.ini
    upload_tmp_dir = “C:\Windows\Temp”

    Ot it could be a database problem….or…very, very little help topics in regards to installing WordPress on a local Windows box.

    However, nothing changes.

    Any suggestions? Running out of troubleshooting avenues…

    I am having a similar problem – I go to upload an image and it asks – do you want to try again and it never allows me to upload image. I dont have this problem on every wordpress site – is there a setting or something to resolve this issue??

    Chill a bit, eh, dcoole? 🙂 Four posts about this in the same couple minutes is a bit much.

    You made your own topic – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/images-will-not-upload-5?replies=2 Let’s use that.

    (For the rest, I don’t know about Windows, sorry :/ )
