I’m trying to convert a static site to a wordpress site keeping just a couple pages with wordpress features.

When you create a child theme of the basic ‘twenty ten’ theme, is it ‘ok’ to create an image folder inside of your child theme folder for images? I’m uploading my images into the folder directly. I’m not trying to use wordpress upload image feature.

I’m using dreamweaver 90% to just edit and upload code. With a static site, dreamweaver writes the linking code to the folder containing the image, but the image is not displayed. I don’t understand. Why doesn’t this work? And how should it be done?

    Thanks,
    Mike
