Adding id to links and buttons

Hello all,

I am trying to inject some buttons and links on a website with unique ID’s so that i can use them later for analytical purposes. In other words, if there is a specific link that i want to track down and see how many people are clicking on that link, i will need to its ID to be able to create event tracking.

In a self built page it is simple to add such a thing to buttons and links, as you know where the page is on the FTP. But on WordPress i can’t seem to find out the way to do that. Sorry if this is a newbie question 🙂
