Adding Header

I have a series of blogs, all with different WordPress installations – but all hosted within subdomains of the main site.

I need all of the wordpress blogs on the various subdomains to have the same header at the top of the page. Are there any ways to do this?

I’ve tried both the include() function in php as well as searched for plugins, but haven’t had luck with either.
