• Hi,
I’m new to WordPress. I’m going to use it as a CMS/Blog.
I’d also like to add Forums to my site. I’ll probably use Simple Machines or something like it. I’m a writer, not a programmer, don’t really know coding or languages, but I think I can pull it off as so much is already done for you by all the open-source devotees out there.
My Question: Can I add forums to WordPress, how do I do it and is it worth the trouble.
    Thanks

  • Whether it is worth or not – only you can decide.
WP (as any blog) it has already interactive features – the comments; so think if you really need it.
Searching the forums you’ll find a lot topics about integrating different forum sofware with WP, including bbpress, which is made by the same devs and used here for this forum.

Hey thanks for responding. You’re right, only I know whether or not it’s worth it. But, the tip on bbpress was exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks.
