Adding Events Control 1.3.0

    I’ve recently added Events Control 1.3.0 to my WP site, which uses the free version Events Calendar, as I was getting GSC errors like…

    Missing field ‘eventAttendanceMode’
    Missing field ‘eventStatus’

    I’ve activated the extension but I don’t see any new options when creating events.

    Can anyone help me?

    Hi @devaraj227

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Those options should appear on your Add Event page on the sidebar on the right. You may need to scroll down or expand the options to see them.

    Also, it’s worth noting that the extension is currently only compatible with the updated calendar views. You can toggle this setting under Events Settings > Display.

    Hi Jaime,

    Thanks. I toggled that option and got the box, thanks. See first linked screenshot.

    I tried it on an existing event, setting Status to “Scheduled” and not ticking the Online box.

    I then ran those errors on the GSC console but it still wouldn’t validate, see 2nd linked screenshot. Does it need more time, do you think? Or am I doing something else wrong?

    Hi @devaraj227

    Thanks for your response. To clarify, the Scheduled status will not change those Google Console warnings, only the other statuses will.

    Also, these warnings will not affect your actual site in any way, so if you’d prefer to leave things as Scheduled, that is fine as well.
