• My main network site is hybridincomesystem.com . I added a domain using this plugin getfitwithslenderiiz.com.

When I go to check the network settings it says

DNS: New domain IP ( ) does not match current IP ( 50.87.152.215 ).
    Check your DNS settings.

However if you ping the domain

    getfitwithslenderiiz.com
    It resolves to 50.87.152.215

The domain is pointed to our nameservers.

  • Hi Chris, did you configure the domain on your server so that it redirects all requests to the same root as hybridincomesystem.com ? Or better yet, set the server up to redirect all requests there, no matter which domain is used… It’s the second requirement on http://wordpress.org/plugins/networks-for-wordpress/faq/ but it depends on your hosting (server, vps, shared) if/how this can be done.

    Hi Chris –

DNS resolution in the “New Network Preview” is done by the server itself. If you can resolve the address correctly from your workstation but the server cannot, this function will alert you.

Did you create the network? As long as clients can resolve your selected domain to the right IP and (as RavanH points out) the server is configured to route requests for that domain to the right set of files, it will be OK.
