CJ is now asking that all clients use the CJEVENT=[INBOUNDVALUE] variable.

This event is sent to the landing page via url and needs to be stored until checkout.

Can we please get this added and maybe options to add other variables also?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You have quite a nice looking website.

Thank you for pointing this out to me. Do you know of any documentation that CJ has put out about the change?

Thanks for the compliment, and thank you for making this great plugin!

They didn’t provide me with much and I think it is required due to “deep linking”

    https://developers.cj.com/docs/tracking-integration/advanced-integration

    Search for the term “cjevent”

    sundaydriverxxx,

Thank you for that documentation. They didn’t have that when I first created the plugin. I see that there have been some other changes as well since when I was first collaborating with the CJ.com team on this plugin. If you get the newest version of the plugin, Everything should conform to their documentation, and I have added the ability to specify additional variables in the advanced options. If you notice anything else wrong, feel free to let me know.

    Cheers,
    Russell

Wow best service ever to get that added so quickly! Thank you for responding so soon!

For me, it is passing the variable to CJ but it is blank. Is the plugin checking for the cjevent url variable on every page? Here is what it looks like when I click “create test order” in cj:

    https://www.kindjuice.com/?cjevent=6eaf13c0390e11e982f302910a24060e

And in the debug notes I get:
The following URL was used for the cj.com tracking code: https://www.emjcd.com/tags/c?containerTagId=32446&ITEM1=highway66&AMT1=25.99&QTY1=1&CID=1554775&OID=57110&TYPE=413262&CJEVENT=&CURRENCY=USD&AMOUNT=25.99

I’m not sure why this would be happening. I’m not able to look into this today, but tomorrow I might have time to figure out what is wrong.

So I asked CJ if we could get started without the CJEVENT tag and they said I could not. Their response below:

For the CJEVENT, since it is a required field that we need to confirm it tracking correctly, we will not be able test or launch the program without it.

Event ID tracking solves for GDRP, Apple ITP & latest Firefox updates. It’s extremely important from a publisher perspective.

Sorry I haven’t been able to get to fixing this sooner, but I have to give priority to my WordPress clients for anything they need done. I have fixing this plugin on my list of things to do next week, and hopefully I’ll be able to get to fixing it sooner rather than later next week.
